We Have done it!

We have shown our first exhibition as Room6 at the ‘Fashion, Embroidery and Stitch’ show organised by ICHF and held at the NEC in Birmingham 17-20 March 2016.

It was a huge success and will now travel to the ArtVanGo gallery in Knebworth for most of July, opening on 4th July.  If anyone would like to have our ‘6 Shades of Grey’ exhibition at their venue, please do contact any one of us and let us know. Meanwhile we are starting to plan our next body of work for exhibition…

Open studios in Full Swing!

Three days of open studios have rushed past already … lots of lovely visitors who have been very enthusiastic… lots of tea and coffee has been drunk ….and cake consumed. we are open on thu, fri, sat, sun and monday so please do pop in and see us..

thurs fri and sat will see Caroline demonstrating her alchemy…

Susan will be printing more panels for her upcoming exhibitions, Lynn will be stitching and Consuelo will be wrapping… there’s lots to see, and lots to buy …. come and meet the room6 girls and see the teaching space at the Granary Studio

Room 6 are busy working towards a couple of exhibitions this year

Jul 2, 3 4 2015      Room 6 along with other graduates of Eastleigh College Foundation Degree Stitched Textiles will be showing their new work at the Desborough Road campus of Eastleigh College in the school of Visual Arts along with the end of year show for all the adult part time creative courses.

October 2015     Room 6 along with other graduates of Eastleigh College Foundation Degree Stitched Textiles will be showing a body of work to fill Romsey Abbey in celebration of St Ethelfleeda’s Festival for the whole month of October. She is the Patron Saint of women in the arts.

The group is now researching possible exhibition venues to create a new body of work that will travel to several different galleries, exciting times
