Room 6 is a well-established group of textile artists that have come together, originally connected to the Foundation Degree in Stitched Textiles at Eastleigh College, to challenge and support its members and to provide regular opportunity for exhibiting at a professional level.

Members meet every two months on Mondays at the Granary Studio, Owslebury, Hampshire for an administrative meeting and mentoring sessions that could include work in progress sessions or group crits. Applicants should be willing to attend meetings regularly.

There is a membership fee of £5 per meeting to cover administration costs and hanging fee to cover costs for exhibitions, this might vary according to the exhibition venue costs.

We Have done it!

We have shown our first exhibition as Room6 at the ‘Fashion, Embroidery and Stitch’ show organised by ICHF and held at the NEC in Birmingham 17-20 March 2016.

It was a huge success and will now travel to the ArtVanGo gallery in Knebworth for most of July, opening on 4th July.  If anyone would like to have our ‘6 Shades of Grey’ exhibition at their venue, please do contact any one of us and let us know. Meanwhile we are starting to plan our next body of work for exhibition…

Here are some images from the show at the NEC which was really well received
