Well, here we are, setting up Hampshire Open Studios tomorrow…. another year has slipped past …
Room 6 will present ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ and much more … this part of our open studios is the start of a bigger exhibition which we will present at the Ashcroft Arts Centre in Fareham next April 2018
We are exhibiting at the Granary, Owslebury Farm, Main Road, Owslebury, SO21 1LU which is opposite the Church in the middle of Owslebury…. there will be bunting right along the hedge to guide you in!
Entrance to the studio is flat but there are two steps up to the ret of the exhibition, the refreshments, and the loo.
The Granary Studio offers a full programme of classes details of which will be available at the open studios as well a Room 6 exhibition
We are closed on the Tuesday and Wednesday but open every other day from 10-5
Apart from our seven deadly sins exhibition in Fareham next year, we are working on another exhibition , ‘Missing Elements’, hopefully to be shown at one of the national textiles shows…more details later

Room6 will go forward in 2017 with two new members so we are now a group of 7 artists, we will be at the Granary in Owslebury for Hampshire Open Studios. We will present ‘The Seven Deadly Sins’, a group collaboration and there will be lots of work to see and for sale. Please come and meet the artists throughout the event.. of course there will be tea/coffee and lots of cake …
We are also now working on our next exhibition and currently investigating possible venues to show it ….watch this space
Well we have closed the doors on 2016 Hampshire Open Studios.. it has been an excellent ten days and we are planning to do it all again next year ….. here are a few pics from the Granary venue in Owslebury

We all love a wedding .. so, we all trouped out to watch the bride ….not the most flattering Pic taken by Viv Arthur who arrived with Jane as a surprise….
Lynn Onions was demonstrating hand quilting and Alison Hulme was demonstrating free machining and Consuelo Simpson was demonstrating tapestry weaving on a great frame .. .sadly I didnt think to get any pictures … I was intermittently demonstrating drawing wth the sewing machine.. lots of tea and coffee drunk, loads of cake and cookies eaten and good sales for our work … see you all at the |granary in Owslebury opposite the church next year … same time same place…. meanwhile we are working on our next exhibition… watch this space

Today, Consuelo is demonstrating her tapestry weaving , Lynn is demonstrating her hand quilting and Susan will be in the studio demonstrating her machine skills in life drawing.

This is located opposite the church right in the middle of Owslebury, if it ever stops raining today, there will be bunting along our front hedge… you can park in the drive (three cars) and on the street…the main studio is accessible for wheelchairs, but two steps up for the rest of the display, and the loo.

All of us have work on sale, we are also demonstrating our methods, and there is a second hand book sale….
There is tea, coffee and cake …and lots of friendly faces

We have shown our first exhibition as Room6 at the ‘Fashion, Embroidery and Stitch’ show organised by ICHF and held at the NEC in Birmingham 17-20 March 2016.
It was a huge success and will now travel to the ArtVanGo gallery in Knebworth for most of July, opening on 4th July. If anyone would like to have our ‘6 Shades of Grey’ exhibition at their venue, please do contact any one of us and let us know. Meanwhile we are starting to plan our next body of work for exhibition…
